Kendell is a 200hr trauma informed yoga teacher, chair yoga instructor and women’s circle facilitator. As a teacher working in schools with students with complex trauma for many years, I realised the importance of facilitating breathe work and movement to support a reduction of anger, anxiety, stress, enhance sense of belonging, increased psychological flexibility, regulation of the nervous system, releasing of stored trauma and overall wellbeing. The core principles I utilise within yoga classes centres around grounding, stabilisation and safety, interoceptive connection, invitation language and choice, and the importance of breath. Yoga is for everyone, and my classes guide participants through subtle movements to ground, energising asana to connect the body and mind, pranayama to support regulation, and guided meditation to provide a sense of peace and balance.
